For a Career in HVAC, the Time is Now

If ever there was a time for young workers to embark on a career in HVAC, this is it. The HVACR Workforce Development Foundation just released three new reports that say there's a critical shortage of mechanics and installers across the United States, thanks to both the increased growth in HVAC related employment and the retirement of baby boomers. In fact, those reports estimate that 100,000 new mechanics and installers will be needed by the industry in the next seven years. As a result, students are being actively recruited by HVACR programs in the U.S. and Canada. Facilities.net has details on this phenomenon.
