Water and Wastewater: State of the Industry

Posted January 26, 2016 9:14 PM by Engineering360 eNewsletter

The coming 24 to 36 months will see plenty of investment in new construction and upgrades to existing facilities within the water and wastewater industry. So finds a state-of-the-industry report by Water & Wastes Digest, the magazine's eighth annual survey of engineers and operations personnel. More than half (55%) of those surveyed will upgrade their facilities in the next 3 yr., and 29% expect to build new facilities in the next 2 yr. Other areas researched include revenue expectations - 41% predict climbing revenues in 2016 - and operating-cost trends. Readers also rank critical industry topics, citing regulations and compliance as most important.
