Corona: The Virus of Beers?

Posted February 07, 2020 12:00 PM by M-ReeD
Pathfinder Tags: beer virus

While the rest of the world takes precautions against the Wuhan coronavirus, buying masks and limiting contact with others, an embarrassingly high number of folks, primarily located in North America, are busy searching terms like “beer virus” and “Corona beer virus,” according to search giant Google.

Despite the countless reports stating that the virus, which is so far responsible for hundreds of deaths, originated in China, confusion in North America abounds. This confusion has reportedly led to a conglomerate of morons boycotting the beer, which is produced in Mexico, where, as of the writing of this blog, there were exactly zero reports of the coronavirus.

Zero.

According to an Instagram statement from the makers of Corona, the only things you can get from drinking Corona in excess include possible headache, bad decision-making, excessive socializing and, perhaps, a smattering of regret. Meanwhile, the coronavirus has been linked to far more measurable symptoms including fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, aching, fatigue and headache.

Consider this the go-ahead, North America, to start replenishing your Corona supplies.

Hold my beer and watch this...

Sadly, I am not surprised that North Americans (I guess that includes Canadians) are confusing the recent coronavirus outbreak with Corona beer. Intellect has become a drawback once again.

I wouldn't say so much as intellect, but, and we have been through this before, why do people believe everything they read. Especially on social media where there is little or no fact checking. Any one can post anything.

Now what about Corona Discharge the arcing by high voltage discharge across the capacitance of insulator strings. Should we confuse it with the expectorate from a Corona Virus sufferer, then high voltage electricians may mistakenly become quarantined until their sheer lunacy for the desire to touch live lines and glow from the spark has been cured or killed so it does not infect sane electricians.

Is a coronet a small Corona virus, a fancy headband or a microscopic catching device to ensnare the virus before it becomes viral?

Pif, these are trivial compared to a Coronal Mass Ejection!!!! This virus obviously came from the sun and the mass ejection of it is spreading the contagion. And guess what? It enters through your eyes. Never been a better time to wear your sunglasses.

Why now, you ask? Solar cycles are the cause, as with everything else. The only place to wait out the epidemic is in your cellar underground.

I think those 'search terms' are a product of auto correct...the boycott idea was probably started by a competitor... neither holds any weight...

Really - c'mon man it was a joke. A bad one but still just a joke.

Here in my small corner of North America we consider that Corona Extra is the cure ...

for excessive worry about the Corona virus.

What you are witnessing is " memesis " of masses of people who are dumbed down to the point they cannot think critically about anything. This is a product of " Social Engineering." People robotically repeating things they have no idea the real facts of and making false associations, and attributions etc. Its all by design.

I don't think it is by design. You cannot design apathy. (I think B.F. Skinner might have tried to design apathy but only ended up with a box.)

Speaking of false associations and repeating things, H. L. Mencken came up with some good ideas. This does beg a question. When one paraphrases a notable quote to fit a discussion is this plagiarism or an original thought?

I must say,,, whomever came up with that design was truly a genious, all be it to the detriment of human kind. It seems these days that "free speech" means you can say anything you want, factual or not. After all. as I have said in the past, "if it's on social media it must be true" - not.☻☻☻¡¡
