Hemmings Motor News Blog

Hemmings Motor News has been around since 1954. We're proud of our heritage, but we're also more than the Hemmings full of classifieds that your father subscribed to. Aside from new editorial content every month in Hemmings, we have three monthly magazines: Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car.

While our editors traverse the country to find the best content for those magazines, we find other oddities related to the old-car hobby that we really had no place for - until now. With this blog, we're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what we see and what we do during the course of putting out some of the finest automotive magazines you'll ever read.

This week, dear Muscle Machines Weekly readers, we bring you something new, in more ways than one: our new car review series, "New Car Skeptic!"

For quite some time now, we've talked about what it's like to be a collector car nut who walks onto a new car dealer lot to look around. Sometimes, we know too much. Sometimes, we know way more than the unfortunate new kid who sees us from across the lot, with visions of easy commissions dancing in his head (poor kid). Sometimes, our browser history sends us way too many ads for cars we'd never look at, much less haggle over, once we get inside the showroom. Sometimes, we wanna talk to the manager and be-right-back. Test drive the newest incarnation of this current-classic Mopar.
