Silicone Connectors

Posted April 01, 2021 12:00 AM by Doug Sharpe

Silicone connectors are molded rubber parts that connect the intake pipes and tubes in diesel-powered heavy equipment for agriculture, forestry, construction, and mining. These engine components are also used in emergency vehicles and ground service equipment (GSE).

Silicone connectors, or silicone couplers as they’re also known, are designed to withstand high temperatures and provide the strength and flexibility that’s needed for demanding on-road or off-road applications.

Silicone couplers can also meet specific pressure ratings and industry standards. Typically, they are specified by bend radius and reinforcement and liner materials. They also come in different ply configurations with or without convolutions.
