Hemmings Motor News Blog

Hemmings Motor News has been around since 1954. We're proud of our heritage, but we're also more than the Hemmings full of classifieds that your father subscribed to. Aside from new editorial content every month in Hemmings, we have three monthly magazines: Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car.

While our editors traverse the country to find the best content for those magazines, we find other oddities related to the old-car hobby that we really had no place for - until now. With this blog, we're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what we see and what we do during the course of putting out some of the finest automotive magazines you'll ever read.

Which Sixties Movie Hero Car Would You Choose for Your Dream Garage?

In our latest edition of This or That, we're continuing our selection of hero cars, though this time from blockbuster movies made in the Sixties. There were a high number of productions that focused on the cars as much as the stars - some far more memorable than others - and to that point, we've picked four that stand out for obvious reasons.

Let's take a look at this week's impact performers, in order of silver screen appearance, all of which are currently available in the Hemmings classifieds.

Choose a1964 Aston Martin DB5, the automotive star of Goldfinger, or a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, such as that showcased in Herbie the Love Bug.

A fan of Bullitt would select a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, while someone more partial to The Italian Job would speed off in a 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S Mark II.

I agree with SE unless it was the original James Bond car from Goldfinger (or a replica).
