Hemmings Motor News Blog

Hemmings Motor News has been around since 1954. We're proud of our heritage, but we're also more than the Hemmings full of classifieds that your father subscribed to. Aside from new editorial content every month in Hemmings, we have three monthly magazines: Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car.

While our editors traverse the country to find the best content for those magazines, we find other oddities related to the old-car hobby that we really had no place for - until now. With this blog, we're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what we see and what we do during the course of putting out some of the finest automotive magazines you'll ever read.

In the foreground of the picture on the left, I believe I spy a light yellow Volvo 144. And if I'm not mistaken, is that a green Camaro right behind it?

Right behind the Volvo, I see a Nigerian prince who needs to get a huge sum of money out of his country and urgently needs my assistance, in return for a sizable share of the treasure.

Pretty sure the ~light yellow car is a FIAT 125. I reckon the green car is too small to be a Camaro - it looks like an Opel product (wild guess), then a Peugeot 504. There's a 2 tone Toyota Landcruiser in the other photo.

Or Fiat 124. Perhaps the one behind is a Ford Cortina?

Yeah, the 124 and 125 are very similar with no front shot to assist differentiation. My first thought was Cortina too, but something looked wrong - enter Google (now): the Mk3 Cortinas all seem to have an indicator on the leading edge of the front guard/fender next to the headlight and I can't see one on the green car.
