Introduced 20 years ago, digital light processing has made high-definition television possible and now it is moving into the medical field. In this process, quickly vibrating micromirrors produce images with dazzling color and clarity. An imaging system developed by Actuality Systems uses the technology to produce three-dimensional "holograms" of a patient's internal organs.
