Scientists have discovered a Kuiper Belt Object that is about a 5th to a half times smaller than Pluto. The object orbits in a belt of icy pseudo-planets commonly called the Kuiper Belt. The object, tentatively named 2004 XR190 but nicknamed by the scientists as "Buffy" has an unusual orbital plane, tilted 47 degrees. This unusual tilt has scientists reevaluating current models of solar system formation.
