Contributing to the Fight Against Covid-19?

04/09/2020 10:12 AM

Hi! This is Lookingforward from IEEE GlobalSpec. We are curious about you, your company and Covid-19. Tell us how you or your company have joined in the fight against Covid-19. How have you contributed your engineering expertise to help us combat this virus? How about how your company is contributing?

Ok, I'll bite.

My wife is working from home most days preparing taxes.

I am doing one installation a day of only essential equipment, such as laundry or cooktop or dishwasher. These allow people to stay home, and I go home and wash up right after the job. One stop no mas.

Most of the time I can be done in an hour as I'm not doing any of my usually extensive modifications and stone/tile/cabinet cuts.

My oldest is a 911 dispatcher in the disaster center for California. She's busy.

I'm setting up equipment in a facility that manufactures medical products to manufacture surgical masks. Although I am retired, my experience with high volume converting is in demand, and I have been called upon to help with this endeavor.
