Keiji Tachikawa, president of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), has announced plans to build a lunar base populated with humanoid robots by the year 2025. Tachikawa believes that advanced versions of Honda's Asimo and Sony's Qrio could build the base and perform mining operations.
