Pneumatic Valve Question

hI FRIENDS

anybody can give me details about pneumatic valve?

i want to take 4 signals from pneumatic valve

1.ON

2.OFF

3.Electric failure

4.Air failure

is there any possibilities to take these signals

client is asking for these signals

It depends on valve type. I assume it is a 2/2 valve with an electric vontrol. For this configuration the logics behind are:

- "ON" you must have a current detector of the coil which gives a "true" signal when the coil is energized and the command is on "ON"

-"OFF" it is the logical contrary of "ON" so that you must have a "false" signal from same sensor when the command is on "OFF"

- "Electric failure" is a problem of definition but if the 2 above controls are not giving a "correct" function indication then the valve is from the electric point of view a failure.

- "Air failure" again it depends on the valve type you can use a pressures sensor at outlet and verify that pressure is present when valve is open and electrical function is OK.

As you see obtaining such an information is neither easy low cost.

Have you analysed if your circuit is fail safe?
