Transition Requirements for BS EN 9100:2009

BS EN9100:2009
Changes from 2003 Version and Certification Transition Requirements

A new version of BS EN9100:2009 the Aerospace family of quality standards also referred to AS 9100 rev C, was published in 2009 following a review by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG).

The purpose of the Aerospace standards is to provide the requirements for a quality management system (QMS), which is a framework for an organisation to control its processes in order to achieve objectives including improved quality, schedule and cost performance.

As the Aerospace standard is based on the international quality standard ISO 9001, the new version is a result of the ISO 9001 revision that took place in 2008 and incorporates those changes as well as adding a risk focus to the new standard. The standard also extends the scope of applicability to include land and sea based systems for defence applications and Space.
