Saturn's Rings Are Changing

Observations of Staurn's rings, performed by the international Cassini spacecraft have shown that the rings are not static structures. Indeed, when compared with information collected by the Voyager spacecraft in 1981, it has been noted that many of the rings have dimmed. Scientists are puzzled by these changes and have not come to a consensus as to why they are changing, or what, if anything, this means.
