CIA Wary of Russian GNSS/GPS Correction Stations in the USA

11/19/2013 12:05 PM

Russia is looking to build GLONASS correction stations in other countries. The first one is in Brazil, but as they are looking to compete in the GPS market, they are trying to leverage their way into the US market.

How long before the EU, and China request similar stations in the US?

Well, the NSA knows when we go to the bathroom, and what Aunt Millie is up to.

The Russians already know as much as they need to to obliterate whatever they want, anywhere in the world.

If you're detonating a 50 megaton bomb, "hand grenade close" is close enough.

Yes, it's hard to say if makes any difference if they have correction stations in the USA for that kind of use. So you would think the CIA/NSA wouldn't care. On the other hand, is Russia going to let us put correction stations inside their borders?

I'm sure they, CIA/NSA, do care.

I would too. Why let any foreign country have a haven on our soil for no better reason than accuracy of a system that doesn't need to be more accurate than it already is.

Point is they don't need "correction stations" anywhere on earth.

You, of course, already know this.
