Sustainable Snow Removal for Airport Ramps

Here's an example of using what's in your backyard: the Greater Binghamton, NY, Airport will tap geothermal energy to heat aircraft parking ramps. The prototype snow melting system will displace two existing boilers and include geothermal well field and water-source heat pump installation. Earthtechling says the system will also cool off the terminals during summer.
