Saudi Arabia's holy city of Mecca is about to become the setting for the world's largest and most expensive hotel, the Abraj Kudai. Topping off at 45 floors, the $3.5 billion hotel will house thousands of rooms and provide access by air with its four helicopter pads. Seventy restaurants will offer luxury dining for both the general public and the Saudi royal family, who will reside on the facility's top five floors. While the hotel will certainly become a most sought out destination for the many families who embark on a religious pilgrimage to the city each year, some are voicing concerns over the hotel's size, which dwarfs the holy mosque.
