trees need water, desalination takes energy, and unfortunately, no carbon free renewable energy production technology exists, does it? It would be absurd to even consider this scheme. And besides, you would need a place like a desert to grow that many trees, and those are pretty hard to find, and the price of that real estate, whew, astounding!

best to just keep doing what we are doing.
