Hi, can these fuel cells be used in electric cars using the highways? Will they be cost-effective, compared to gasoline/diesel fuels?

What are the fuels used for these fuel cells? Hydrogen and oxygen gases in liquid form? There goes your carbon-footprint! You have to compress and liquefy these gases and maintain them at very low temperatures. Where do they get the power from? - from fossil fuel power plants?
