They are carbon neutral. It doesn't matter if the CO2 comes back from our breath or the compost pile, the effect is exactly the same. In the U.S. a lot of 'ugly' fruits become juice and 'ugly' vegetables go to become pet food. This is a whole lot frettin' over nuttin'.
