No mention of were and how the electricity comes from the charge these electric cars, And of course there is pollution from tire wear as well as brake wear ! There is Much more pollution from manufacturing ! What a stupid comment !

The article above does mention pollution from road, tire and brake wear. Clicking on the embedded link and actually reading the report will provide information on the electricity mix used to power the vehicles. What a stupid comment.

What an amazingly limited understanding that reply demonstrated. Do you have any idea how much pollution is generated from the production of petroleum products. The amount of energy used to crack crude or frack shale? And that cost is valid only when things go right. Consider the cost of major environmental disasters caused by petroleum from mining to usage. Oh, and when was the last time you heard of an electrical spill? Or had an entire town burned to the ground by a runaway power plant? The cost of petroleum is astronomical when you consider the total picture.

True, no accounting for criminals, which PG&E has proven time and time again they are.

Another plus for electric vehicles, is that there are many ways to produce electricity. You're not stuck with just one source of power. Fossil-fuel based vehicles must use fossil-fuels. But, you don't need fossil-fuels to produce electricity (even tho you still can, if needed).

Electricity is a very good "lowest common denominator" form of energy, which can be converted from/to most other forms of energy. A very big plus.

Yes; you can produce electricity with ethanol, too.

Hi the study, I think, did not include the additional emission produced by the power plants when the EV's are connected to the grid for re-charging of their batteries.

Hi,

I am pleased to inform you that, we are involved in activity of setting up chain of projects for fulfilling the requirement of electricity of Electric Vehicles (Battery based Electric Vehicles and Fuel Cell based Electric Vehicles) using Solar Power from Solar PV Power Projects.

  • Assembling Containerized Li-Ion Batteries, using Containerized Li-Ion Batteries for storage of Electrical Energy from Solar PV Project, Charging Containerized Li-Ion Batteries at Solar PV Project site, transporting Containerized Li-Ion Batteries from Solar PV Project to EV Charging Stations, setting up chain of EV Charging Station and charging the batteries (Fast DC Charging) of Battery based Electric Vehicles using Electrical Energy stored in Containerized Li-Ion Batteries
  • Producing hydrogen by electrolysis of water by setting up Hydrogen Production Plant at location of Solar PV Project, using Solar Energy from Solar PV Projects for electrolysis of water, storing Hydrogen in Mobile Hydrogen Storage Tanks, Setting up chain of Hydrogen Filling Stations, transporting Mobile Hydrogen Storage Tanks from Solar PV projects to Hydrogen Filling Stations and delivering Hydrogen from Mobile Hydrogen Storage Tanks to Fuel Cell based Electric Vehicles

The Solar power will come from excess capacity of, Solar PV Project part of our Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Projects

Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Project is combination of

  • Greenhouse Farming Project
  • Solar PV Power Project
  • Energy Storage Project

We are involved in activity of deploying chain of Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Projects in USA, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia

About Us:

Ours is a "Startup"

We are based in city Mumbai in India

We are team of people, having different academic & professional background

Our core business is to develop "Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Projects" for our clients

If required we also undertake “Project Operation” for our client, through our associated companies

Our clients are investors & promoters, those who are interested in investing in Commercial Greenhouse Farming Projects

About our "Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Projects":

Brief outline of our Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Projects

  • Our Greenhouse Farming Projects are cluster of Greenhouses located at single location, it is a concept called "Greenhouse Park"
  • There will be total 25 Greenhouses in one cluster of Greenhouse
  • Each Greenhouse (Glass Covered and/or Plastic Film Covered), in the cluster of Greenhouse will have area of 10,000 Sq m (One Hectare)
  • In one cluster of Greenhouse, there will be total 250,000 Sq m under Greenhouse Farming
  • There will be common facility, to offer total support to each Greenhouse in the cluster
  • We will be integrating Solar PV Project (with Energy Storage) with our Greenhouse Farming Projects
  • Energy Storage, integrated with Solar PV Project, will provide power supply on 24x7 basis, to Greenhouses, to undertake Greenhouse Farming activity in our Greenhouse Farming Projects, without depending on Grid Electricity and/or electricity from Diesel Generator
  • Solar PV Project, integrated with one cluster of Greenhouse, i.e. one Greenhouse Farming Projects, will have sufficient installed capacity to produce 15 million kWh of excess energy per year, apart from fulfilling energy requirement of Greenhouse farming undertaken in all the greenhouses, in the Greenhouse cluster, having total area of 250,000 Sq m
  • Excess energy from the Solar PV Project will be used to charge Containerized Li-Ion Batteries and/or producing Hydrogen by electrolysis of Water. Hydrogen produced, will be stored in Mobile Hydrogen Storage Tanks
  • Fully charged Containerized Li-Ion Batteries will be transported to EV Charging Stations, located on nearby highways and the energy stored in the Containerized Li-Ion Batteries will be used for Charging of Battery based Electric Vehicles
  • Mobile Hydrogen Storage Tanks, with Hydrogen stored in it, will be transported to Hydrogen Filling Stations located on nearby highways and Hydrogen will be supplied to Fuel Cell based Electric Vehicles
  • We are offering Battery based Electric Vehicles and Fuel Cell based Electric Vehicles, under “Total Package” offer, to “Transport Companies & Logistic Companies” at “Zero Upfront Cost”
  • “Transport Companies & Logistic Companies” will pay on “Per hr” basis or “Per km” basis or combination of both
  • “Total Package” will cover “Offering Electric Vehicle, charging of batteries - supply of hydrogen, repair & maintenance (both regular & accidental), parts replacement (including batteries)”

Project under Development:

We are developing Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Projects and associated EV Projects, in India and USA

  • In India, we are developing three Greenhouse Farming Projects and associated EV Projects. Two of them in State of Maharashtra and one in the state of Odisha. Each project will have 250,000 Sq m Greenhouse area (25 nos of Greenhouses of 10,000 Sq m each).
  • In USA, we are developing a chain of Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Projects and associated EV Projects. There will be total 150 Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Projects in this chain, to be developed in next three years time period. Each project will have 250,000 Sq m Greenhouse area (25 nos of Greenhouses of 10,000 Sq m each). By end of the third year there will be 3,750 nos of Greenhouses (of 10,000 Sq m each), having total area of 37.5 million Sq m, in 150 projects, located throughout USA.

We are also developing our own Solar Powered Greenhouse Farming Projects and associated EV Projects, for using them as a POC (Proof Of concept) Project, for undertaking trials, conducting experiments and practically demonstrating “Techno-Commercial” viability of out Business Model, Business Plan, Business Strategy, Financial Model etc. These POC Projects will also show the impact of our project on “Agriculture-Energy-Transport”. In India first group of POC Projects will be located near City Mumbai on Mumbai - Pune highway.

We are in process of expending our business operations in other states in India and also we are in process of expanding our business operations in other countries in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia
