Engineering360: "Team 3D prints new lenses for computing, imaging applications"

Is it possible to apply this technology to human eye problems? One thought is that a special lens could be fabricated to focus all incoming light onto the portion of the retina that has still active optical nerves (typical of glaucoma disease). I am guessing that the brain would learn to use the new image to regain the proper optical size to match the other eye.

Obviously, I have glaucoma!
