What is the polymer? If it's phenol-formaldehyde (Bakelite) what happens to the formaldehyde part? Unique situation: blades solve collection and cleaning problems inherent in general chem recycling, but both have negative-energy problem, as atom-atom bonds must be broken. Catalysts may help rate, but bond energy stays the same. No miracles in science. No toxicity problem in landfill, but a space problem. And all fibers are not equally useful in all applications.

Do we really expect that much volume of blades? And what if they are not all the same resin? Numbers, please. Recycling should be environmentally justified, as well as economically, but not automatically sanctified.
