I would like to add a few more points to be looked into for improving pump efficiency.

The 9th area that needs to be looked into for efficiency improvement is the mode of power transmission (Coupling (Love joy, Fluid, Tyre, etc.), Belts, Gears, etc.). The best transmission is by direct drive. Our experience is that an efficiency improvement of up to 5% is possible by choosing the right transmission system. Converting the V belt's set drive system to a single flat belt system can result in a 2 to5% improvement in transmission.

The proper vibrations-free installation could be the 10th area: The vibrations could be due to loose foundation, imbalance, misalignment, loose coupling, etc., and proper mitigation of the root cause causing the vibration would also result in improvement in efficiency.
