Grid stability is not a straightforward problem. Many people have spent their entire careers on this challenge. And that is with a grid with almost all rotating mass. Transition the grid too quickly to other energy sources without time to fully understand the issues, and there will be problems. Eventually we will learn what works even if the forcing function is specious.
