Rant begin:

Portland, PDX, is so screwed up, politically, economically and etc. that they can't fart without endangering the region with a potential greenhouse gas disaster. They have worked mightily for the last several years to grow an economy where the homeless thrive, driven housing prices out of reason with land use planning, taxes and permit fees, and totally failed to support the middle of the road working stiff.

Portland wants to be southern California in word, thought and deed and regardless of whether cars can drive themselves will run out of money and time and ultimately collapse into the oozing lake of slime that they have become.

UofP would be better served by designing an ark to float out.
