There is a new category of electric motor systems, called SYNCHRO-SYM. Unlike all others with non-optimal asymmetry of a passive rotor using permanent magnets (PM), slip-induction windings, reluctance saliencies, or DC field windings, SYNCHRO-SYM has the optimal symmetry of an active rotor and an active stator. Clearly SYNCHRO-SYM is without rare-earth PMs but provides twice the nominal power in the same packaging geometry but at half the cost and loss per kW. SYNCHRO-SYM is technically proven and ready for immediate commercialization with rapid, reprogrammable (3D Printing) stateside manufacturing targeted for 2026.
