Why adapt larger craft when small "water scooter" types, equipped with the same intelligent connectivity and some potent armament, would be easier to store, less expensive, faster and would be a much smaller and difficult target?

That's coming, I'm sure; maybe even including little 'kamikaze' craft that are their own weapons. Right now it looks like they're just using inventory they already have.
