Used to ride an old '97 Honda Africa Twin. Solid as a rock, lovely on fast dirt/gravel roads, easy to maintain. Enjoyable with mates or solo. And lane splitting is legal here in South Africa! Just be wide awake when you do it. The Twin was sadly stolen, bought an old Suzuki GSR600 (all I could afford) - crazy bike, can't see why you need a bigger engine!
