G'Day All,

I am a mechanical engineer with an interest in fluid dynamics who is currently working in the asset management field with experience in the aviation, power generation and mineral sands industries.

My interests outside of engineering include fly fishing, consuming fine wine (though I still keep a bottle of Stones Green Ginger Wine in my saddle bags) and cheese (a cheese is at its peak just before it gets up and runs away), listening to jazz and blues music (I can make noise on a flute, clarinet and harmonica though I have yet to meet anyone who would call it music) and motorcycles.

I designed and built my first bike at the age of 14 which utilised a diesel pump motor (a Liston I think) and a frame made from a pair of old farm gates. My other rides have been Honda XL175, Bultaco 250, Vincent Black Shadow (I had this when I young and silly, about 19, and wore it out and sold it as a basket case), Honda 350/400/550 4's, Triumph Bonneville 650, Norton Intestate 850, BMW R90S, Suzuki GS1100, GS500, Triumph Sprint ST (2000 model) and my current ride is a 2006 Triumph Sprint ST.
