Born on Sunday, June 25, 1944 at noon local time in southwestern West Virginia coal mining country. Grandfather was an electrician in the coal mines, which is probably how I acquired a proclivity for things electrical. Air Force brat. Enlisted in USAF in May 1963 and served with Strategic Air Command as defensive fire control systems mechanic on B-52H heavy bombers until end of active duty obligation in 1967. Worked for University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) as electronics technician from 1967 to 1978. Graduated with Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from University of Dayton in 1978. Worked for a company supporting the intelligence and reconnaisance community from 1979 to 1991. Currently operate and maintain a 1.7 MV tandem electrostatic particle accelerator at UES, Inc. (formerly, Universal Energy Systems). I've been "messin' with 'lectricity" since 1953 (age 9). I like camping with my wife and our two dogs, and riding my 1999 Honda Shadow ACE 1100 cc motorcycle.
