I retired in 2017 after thirty-two years of centrifugal pump design. My career began with Cornell Pump Company where, for eleven years, I was in charge of the design and application of pumps for Anhydrous Ammonia refrigeration, Trailer-mounted, vacuum-assisted self-priming centrifugal clear liquids and solids pumps.
In 1998, I co-founded Pioneer Pump Company of Canby, Oregon. I was Chief Engineer of that company from 1998 until my retirement in 2017. In that capacity, I designed nearly all of the company's pumps as well as peripheral products. I designed the test lab as well.
I have authored many papers in the application and design of centrifugal pumps and am currently doing consulting work in that field. I maintain my P.E. license for such purposes.
