1.Hold a first class degree in mechanical engineering from Patna University(1969).

2.Have about 36 yrs. of practical experience in two integrated steel plants in India viz. SAIL / Rourkela Steel Plant and RINL / Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

3. Major fields of experience include safety and environment management.

4. Presented a paper on waste management in the international conference held at Philadelphia, USA from 18-21 March 2007.

5. Was on the faculty of SAIL and RINL for HRD and safety training programmes.

6. Used to make cartoons in 1980s.Writeen slim booklets on " Safety in Manual Material Handling" and " Working in Confined Space". Third book on 'Safe Rigging Practices " is nearing completion.The fourth titled " Growing Roses in the Desert: Safety Management for Front-line Managers " is 60 % done.
