Hi to all
I am senior piping designer with nearly 40 years of experience. I have primarily worked on projects in the northern Alberta region of Canada, which is dominated by the heavy oil extraction, crude oil upgrading and refining industries. I have also worked on power generation plants, in the chemical processing industries, natural gas plants and municipal waste and water treatment projects in my years. In my area of the world, you must be relatively flexible if you wish to be continously employed. One of the advantages of working in so many different industries is that you are exposed to many different practices. procedures and standards and this exposure allows you oppurtunity to provide different solutions when solving difficult design problems from time to time.
I am also heavily involved in the martial art of Taekwon-Do (30 years now) both training and teaching the art. I enjoy discussing and meeting other martial artists of all styles and would love to here from them.
