My hometown is Loudonville, New York, which borders the city of Albany, New York. I presently live in Albany and work at an Engineering Search Engine and Media company called IEEE GlobalSpec located in East Greenbush, New, York.
I graduated from Siena College with a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Science and have taken a number of graduate classes at the University at Albany, studying Geography and Planning.
Over the last five years, I've helped others re-invigorate my local chapter of the National Audubon Society, the Audubon Society of the Capital Region, as a volunteer and President. I am now President of the Southern Adirondack Audubon Society and now a member of the Audubon New York Council.
I continue to enjoy traveling, reading books of all kinds, hiking and mountain biking and am fortunate to live within the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, one of only 20 inland Pine Barrens in the world. It's nice to have a rare natural habitat to appreciate, enjoy, and help preserve, right outside your front door!
You may also find me in the Adirondack Park in upstate New York. I love to spend as much time across the "blue line" as possible hiking in the High Peaks, hanging out in Lake Placid, and exploring the nooks and crannies of that great reserve.
