Have industrial experience in design, prefabrication of pre-cast concrete products; A commissioned officer in the Sri Lanka Navy 91972-1975). Senior lecturer at University Technology MARA, Shah Alam Malaysia 91975-1994. Senior Quality Management Consultant, Beard Dove Malaysia(1994-1995). Senior Quality manager, High-Point Randell Consultants, Kuala Lumpur (1995 - 1998);Technical Director, HPRC Consulting Group (1999 -2001); Senior project Manager(QSH) TMI Nusantara Consultants (2002-2005); Project Director TMI-N (2006 - to-date)

Active member of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, Chairman of the Engineering Education Division,IEM (2002 -2005); Secretary and then Deputy Chairman of the Project Management Technical Division, IEM (2004 -2007)

Member of PMI, ASQ, MIM Malaysia, Concrete Society Malaysia.

Taught in the MBA external programme for the University of New Castle, Australia; external MBA Programme of Open University Malaysia.
