We are a small scale manufacturer of electronic instruments -- primarily for safety in industry -- monitoring levels of toxic and explosive gases in the work atmosphere.

We are keen to expand into photo voltaic power systems for ensuring these safety systems work irrespective of mains power supply -- also for standby emergency lighting

How do we design these systems?

What type of photo voltaic cells do we use?

What capacity of batteries do we build into the system?

Will we require to have DC to AC convertors?

As these photo voltaic cells will be fully exposed to direct sunlight do we need to have any cooling system?
