Biography

Have studied AC and DC electrical power: No degrees, Licensed as a realtor(r). My work with DC electrical current has included all aspects for the servicing of lead acid batteries used in marine, locomotive, Auto/truck, telephone, and motive power equipment.

As I continue to studiy, news is; future costs for consumption of residential and commercial electrical power are predicted to greatly increase, and no promises that future demands for safe adequate power will always be available. Hence; there's talk of the new 'Smart Grid'. New transmission lines need/are to be built My deep concern is for high costs of a new grid installation: plus the very high costs for the probable use of imminent domain to acquire the necessary land for construction. The use if which will be the very unpopular destruction of private property rights.

My question: Why do we not consider using our present transmission right-aways and bury new HIGH VOLTAGE DC cables in the present rightaways? My understanding is that it will be cost effective and cause less hardships. Does China know something we don't know, yet?
