I'm 63 now (doesn't time fly when you're having fun?). I first watched television on a Fergusson set bought by my father is 1951. It had a 9" black and white, 405 line screen (cathode ray tube of course). It received programmes from the BBC (no other channel existed) and was tuned to the Alexandra Palace transmitter in London. How times change.
I still have the set and what's more I also have its instruction book which proudly proclaims that it shows high definition pictures - which I suppose they were compared to the spinning wheel of the pre-war Baird system.
I worked as a primary (elementary) school teacher before getting into computers and becoming an advisory teacher supporting the use of ICT in schools. I'm retired now but I still work with a couple of projects and regard myself still as an advisory teacher for ICT (semi-retired!)
See my website (which needs some work) for more.
