Engineering Physicist with extensive training in mathematics and chemistry.
I have worked using fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and structural analysis models. I design develop, test, and reduce fabrication costs to build basic tools, fixtures, tanks, pressure-vacuum vessels, structures, platforms, bridges, trucks, trailers, shipping containers, safety and relief valves, instrumentation, and other items using computer programming, spread-sheet analysis, AutoCAD, TurboCAD and other programs. I have worked with liquid Helium transport systems (super cold) and Carbon-element vacuum furnaces.
A recent project involved redesigning a 32Metric Ton Vacuum Induction Molding Furnace System. Previous design used over 500,000 lb of steel for vacuum vessels. My new design uses less than 300,000 lb of steel and eliminates the use of a boiler powered ejector pump vacuum system.
