Life long shooter. I have the advantage of living in an are where I can have a rifle, pistol, and shotgun range in my yard. Shoot big bore/high power for load development/ evaluation. Shoot rimfire pistol and rifle on reactive targets for practice and informal competition. It's great to get the neighborhood kids and their parents together for an afternoon of shooting and fellowship, total cost $25.00. Memories and relationships priceless.

I've been a hunter for over 4 decades. The area I live in has abundant small and large game with liberal limits and large tracts of land available for use. Most of my time afield now days is spent taking kids and their parents out to learn how to safely pursue this great hobby. My own children started shooting under close supervision at age 5 and were hunting with me by age 7. Parental patience is not truly tested until it has to endure a child learning to blow a turkey call.
