N.V.MANI is an electrical engineer with 40 years of industrial experience in petroleum, petrochemical and fertilizer units in various levels and capacities. He has vast experience in the design, detailed engineering, project management,construction and commissioning of electrical projects. His experience includes formulation of safety standards, conducting safety audits, accident investigations and developing databases.
Besides an experienced electrical engineer, Mr Mani is also a postgraduate in Business Administration. He has membership in Professional societies: i) Institution of Electrical and Electronic engineers (IEEE), ii) Institution of Engineers (IEE), iii) Kerala Management Association. Mr Mani has published / presented around 50 technical papers in National / International forums.
Currently he conducts training programmes, and also provides consultancy services related to electrical systems,safety engineering and business management.
He is an active participant in CR4 Forum.

I am an electrical engineering graduate with MBA. My professional experience of more than 40 years includes design engineering,procurement,construction and commissioning of Projects in the Petroleum and Chemical plants.
After retirement,I am now a freelance engineering Consultant and Training coordinator.

Served Oil Industry Safety Directorate(OISD) -India for 7 years ,as Additional Director (Engineering) on deputation from Kochi Refinery,and associated with the formulating and implementing a series of self regulatory measures, aimed at removing obsolescence, standardising and upgrading the existing standards to ensure safer operations in the Oil and Gas installations.
OISD constituted a number of technical committees comprising of experts nominated from the industry to draw up standards and guidelines on various subjects. Assignment was related to coordinating the activities of functional committee specifically in the areas of electrical safety and safety aspects in functional training in the petroleum refinery where the process is hazardous in nature.
