Torque Converter Overload

07/12/2007 10:11 AM

I have a engine couple with a gearbox, the engine rated output is 700Nm but I needs 1400Nm sometimes, I plan to used the torque converter stalling ratio to do the job but am not sure of what to look out for. Anybody got experience on this?

Contact an application engineer of your engine manafacturer who will be having the deatils of engine charchters curves Like tarque curves and lugging curves etc for the engine you are working with and he would be able to come out with correct answers.

Check the ratio of your gearbox, and devide by two to increase your torque and handle heavier load.
