I would Like you to Look @ Video of Electric Self Rotating Wing & Tell me what you Think? Only 2nd Time Out with it! Low Batteries Never Charged & Shorted Out ounce When a Friend Soldered Battery Plug on Wrong! Also Cooked Red Brick 80 amp. ESC! Collar slid on Main Shaft 1st time Out Dimpled Shaft for Set screw Now Very Slight Neg. But,Over riding servo Wanted it for Autorotation! I Think I can Adjust it Out? I also Took Off What weighed as Much as a Baseball Bats worth of Oak Axes,3' 3/16 Steel Round Stock, 4 3" Mag wheels with Rubber tires about 4 lbs. Total? Using Aluminum Tri Pod Set up. See How it Works on You Tube Video is Very Impressive for 2nd Time Out & Never a Charge on Either Battery Charger went NG! Can't afford another Right Now! Had IMAX Clone I Think that Stopped Working! I Think It's Going to Catch On Very Fast! My Corvette of Copters!

Two suggestions:

1. post this on one of the three or four threads you have already started with the same name.

2. give the path to the youtube video, or it will never get seen.

See Hillers Hornet & Video I saw of Electric Version Powered by Ext. Chord I did'nt see it. Until after I had Started my Project? Hiller & Bell 1st concepts! Although I am Thinking about a Small E.V. Cockpit/Power supply & R/C U.A.V. Airfoil is From Large Scale High Wing! 10x5 Props.with Inrunner motors Typhoon 2W-23 Brushless! Just a Bit more Aerodynamic than a Drone or Smart Car Hiller used a Simple Single Tail Fin! I put mine on the Sides so Auto could Enter from Rear?

Umm yea......

Given your present weight estimates and the sounds of it trying to do what ever it is supposed to do in the video links I would be more inclined to call it the International grain truck of copters.

So what keeps the base from rotating if it does somehow manage to get airborne being that if you are cooking 80 amp RC motor controllers trying to spin that contraption up there has to be some serious torque being generated.

Well he did ask what we thought and if a person doesn't want to hear things reviewed as they appear to be then asking people of engineering mid sets is the wrong people to be asking.

I may not be an aeronautical engineer but I know what a International grain truck sounds like when it's trying to start and that what I heard.

That 80 amp. ESC got Cooked by a Friend Soldering The Plug on Wing Wron Getting Pos. & Neg. Crossed Saw Smoke comming Out of Wing before Realizing what had Happened? Wires @ Contact Rings got Mixed TOO when getting Soldered? Don't Know How But, All is OK Wiring Wise Now! I Have Control Surfaces that are Vertical See Hillers Hornet Wih only a Tail Fin! You Yube I've seen People use Pie Plates on R/C copters! I'm Switching to 3/8 ths. Uluminum Tube Tri Pod Legs All I Need Can Fit in My Hand! Main Shaft Mixing Arms & Servos. I may have make Custom Mixing Arm with More Leverage I Put in Neg. Pitch for Autorotation But, Wing Overpowered Servo Holding Neg. Pitch. But, All in All I Think a Little More Tweaking & I Should be Airborn! After Charging those Batteries! Control Sufaces work Good in Down Drafts! Thanks for the Opinion!

Firms who claim to be very worried about this include Mountfield, Flymo, McCulloch, Husqvarna, Bosch, etc.
