ASME Individual Certification

Dear All,

I would like to know is there a certification from ASME or other such authority for the Pressure vessel and heat exchanger design engineers.
can somebody answer me?

Your question is specifically about ASME Pressure Vessel and Heat Exchanger Design Engineers.

ASME VIII and other similar codes are written for the design, inspection, fabrication and testing of pressure retaining components. Weldments that meet these detailed requirements receive one of the various ASME certifications (commonly called "stamp") The materials, methods and inspections are carefully recorded and independently verified.

The entire code is organized around certifying the final product not any individual.

It should be noted, however, for the complex and expensive vessels described in ASME VIII Division 2, certified calculations are required by a Registered Professional Engineer...
