the panel boards supplier can help you doing such calculations, just pass him the data about the cables sizes & lengths.

good luck

You must add ALL the impedences from the bus to each downstream point
to the given source impedence and calculate for that point.

Don't forget to add in the downstream motor contributions, (less their impedances),
to the point in question.

I think one should not do homework in this forum.. or should have basic knowledge of electrical engineering to join. Mr Guest come in forum with proper identy before abusing others. Go to a school get some knowledge and come here. I didn't put my problem at all. one Q i put in forum to know if there is any one can reply. But, with a frustration I didn't see proper view. Any way, I have already put my view and welcom e value addition on the topic. See my communications today.

hi,

I hope this will help you,

i.e. (a) suppose 6.6 kv busbar,30kA

then source impd will be=phase volt (kV)/1.732*fault current (kA)

=6.6/1.732*30

=0.127 ohm will seen upto upsteam

(b) if 415 volt,20kA bus then

Source impd=0.415/1.732*20

=0.0119 ohm will seen upstream

I think this will help u

Good luck
