Clutch and Gear Shifting Mechanism

06/12/2015 1:44 AM

Can somebody suggest a good book, or a free source on internet which has information on clutch and gearbox shifting and selecting mechanism. I need to understand the design and calculation part of the linkages.

Hold on a second Lyn! How do we know he's not asking how a SMG or a DSG dual clutch transmission works?

Or maybe he's trying to find out how a tractor transmission works. You know, Lamborghini did built tractors, just like John Deere and Harvester.

I remember back in drafting class (many years ago) learning that International Harvester was at one time part of the DJIA ($8.4B in sales in 1979). The strike in 1979 hurt them so badly that they never recovered.
