More Truck vs. Bridge Pictures

07/27/2015 12:12 PM

Remember the "Caption This" from a few weeks ago where the truck hit the low bridge? Here are 95 more http://qctimes.com/gallery/traffic/historic-photos-q-c-s-truck-eating-bridges/collection_0b1b72cc-4fd7-11e0-b650-001cc4c03286.html#0. You can see from their URL that they call this their "Truck Eating Bridge Collection".

It looks to me like the bridge is eating the truck.

I think several of those images are from the notorious truck eating bridge of Northampton Mass.

Everything was going just fine until Cal's GPS said turn left and Jon's said turn right.

I don't think that thing would get stuck under the bridge!

It looks more like a conversion process called: come-along bridge!

Yow want to see trains get stuck under bridges? Take one of the double-decker Amtrak cars and drag it around the East Coast.

Oh wait, you can't.

None of the tunnels through the Appalachians are tall enough to get that car through.

You could watch the Appalachians eat a train car, would that be close enough?

Too bad he has to ride. Can you imagine driving that big thing down the road, taking up both lanes!

Yeah, I could, if it has an elevator, or at least a "pilot relief tube".

Back in the 1960s when they first came out with the auto hauling trains they had a picture where the top row of cars was flattened by a low bridge.
