Detroit has been endangered for years.

It is now dead and should be buried.

Musk didn't kill it. Predatory practices of the richest 1% of US citizens, Wall Street, bankers and their law maker lackies did that.

Hear! Hear! Great answer! I agree and also think Detroit was/is a victim of plain old greed. Henry Ford said something to the affect of; "There is more to owning a business in this great country than just making money. It is gravely important that all realize the importance of keeping our people working and productive."

Sorry it is not an exact quote but it has been too long since I read some of his interviews.

There were periods of time when he suffered large loses and spent a great deal of his personal fortune in order to keep his factories running to help keep the USA economy afloat as much as he could.

I agree with lyn. What killed Detroit was the lack of american management in seeing the future. They are re-active and not pro-active. Instead of asking what the customer wants they decide what they will give the customer.
