Parts Cleaner

08/29/2015 7:23 PM

I like to find what others have problems with.

At my local returned goods discount store I found a $1500.00 part tumbler. Up on inspection I found 2 motors in the hopper. Both apart and in mixed boxes. My post about the schematic was this project.

The US distributor came up with the schematic. Thanks!

I reassembled and found the problem. Whom ever put it together made the belt too tight and as the wobble shaft would swing away from the motor it caused the shaf in the motor to flex and the rotor would com in contact the housing where the winding is. I know that the distance between these 2 parts are critical. I cut about .005" off and upgraded the screws to socket head bolt. Investment Cabinet $100.00, 6 bolts $2.00

Replaced the ceramic stones they us with #78 Blue Grave.
